Stay a Kaufusi Away!

It has been brought to my attention that people aren't obeying the 6-foot social distancing. We need to make sure we are keeping our distance and space, especially at our trailheads, our parks, skateparks, and play grounds.

I've been thinking about how can I express this to our citizens, how significant and important this is and what 6 feet looks like. So I decided to invite two of my kids to help me. I've got Bronson and Corban with me today to help share this message.

Social distancing guidelines recommends 6-feet, that is a minimum. But if you really want to show someone that you care, you go the extra distance. And give a "Kaufusi"! Which in Corban's case is 6-feet 10-inches.

So don't forget! If you care, stay a "Kaufusi" apart.

So Salt Lake City Mayor is requesting us to stay home, "Every county in the state relies on metropolitan hospitals for critical care needs. A statewide order is necessary to slow the spread everywhere so we don’t overwhelm our hospitals". The governor has issued a statewide stay-at-home order called stay safe, stay home in order "to flatten the curve, reduce the strain on hospitals and the healthcare system, and minimize the impact on medical resources for those with the highest need.". It appears you are encouraging us to go to the park or at least not discouraging us as long as you stay 6 ft away. Do you really think that your message is encouraging us to be good neighbor…
