Ross Stores, Inc. has signed a lease to occupy over 20,000 feet of retail space at East Bay Shopping Center on South University Avenue in Provo! The company plans to operate a Ross Dress For Less® store concept from the location, which represents the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the United States with over 1,400 locations in 37 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
Woodside Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm based in Dallas, Texas helped close the lease deal at East Bay following the recent sale of the 172,000 square foot shopping center. Woodside specializes in acquiring distressed commercial properties in strategic markets across the U.S. and turning them into fully stabilized and productive assets by putting together best-in-class local leasing and property management teams and making significant capital improvements.
I am excited and pleased that Woodside Capital Partners are investing in Provo retail spaces, specifically with this announcement that Ross is coming to Provo. The Ross lease signing brings another large, name-brand retailer to South Provo and provides a much-needed boost to the local shopping options for Provo residents.
I believe the East Bay Shopping Center is an excellent location, with the ability to offer our residents and visitors the goods and service they want. East Bay is alive and well and open for business with high expectations for more to come!
