Come celebrate the 169th anniversary of the founding of Provo! The Pioneer Village is hosting a Provo Founder's Day Celebration on Monday, April 2nd from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
The museum gates will open at 5:00 pm for village tours. All of the historic buildings will be open and our costumed living historians will be present to give tours and demonstrate 19th century skills.
A program featuring D. Robert Carter, local historian and author will begin at 6:00 pm in the carriage house. Learn about Camp Rawlins and the Provo Riot in story and song. Activities more suitable for children will take place at the same time in the schoolhouse.
The event is free, but a suggested donation of $2 per person is welcome.
