Freedom Commons Topping Off Ceremony

Wondering how Provo won the Milken Institute award for the best run city? Here is one of the many reasons why! Provo is bringing in exciting new developments, and I was able to be a part of this topping-off ceremony for the Freedom Commons.

On Wednesday, cranes hoisted the final steel beam as work continues on the Freedom Commons business park. The innovative offices will be the first of their kind in Provo. With the goal of easing the challenges of transitioning back to the office for a post-pandemic workforce, commercial real estate business PEG Companies is reinventing its corporate headquarters and welcoming other companies that are now joining its multiblock development in the downtown core.

I could go on and on like the proud Mayor I am. Provo City is transforming itself as THE Central Business District for Utah County. The revitalization of Downtown Provo, our Provo City airport expansion, the continued strength of our tech and start-up sectors, our high quality of life with a low cost of living, and it bears mentioning again: The first Class-A office space built in downtown in 12 years…with a much-needed parking solution!

Provo City’s slogan is “Welcome Home” and as the Mayor I am pleased to officially welcome PEG to our community and thank them for seeing our potential. We’re also prepared to put out the welcome mat for others we are sure soon to follow.
