This week, September 10-14, is Bike to School Week. I’d like to challenge our youth to ride their bikes to school a couple of times this week. It's a great way to get in some exercise before and after school. Make sure you wear your helmet!
BIKE TO SCHOOL CHALLENGE
During Bike to School Week, our local elementary, middle, and high schools will offer a variety of programs to help kids get in the habit of riding to school. Students who bicycle to school will have the opportunity to win daily prizes and a weekly grand prize from Mad Dog Cycles, Taylor's Bike Shop, Outdoors Unlimited, Hangar 15 Bicycles, Racer's Cycle Service, Level 9 Sports, and Provo Bicycle Collective.
Several schools will offer bike safety checks too so check out what your school is doing!
Check with your school to see how they are participating! Contact your school’s PTA president or Hugh Van Wagenen of the Provo Bicycle Committee at hughvanwagenen@gmail.com for more information. Visit bikeprovo.org to find out more about Bike-to-School Week. Happy riding!
