Today’s the day! All registered voters will have their ballots mailed out today, October 16th. In the next couple of days you should see your ballots in the mail – so keep your eyes out. Voters then can make their choices and mail them back. No standing in line. No waiting. No pressure. Ballots must be postmarked on or before Monday, November 5, 2018. A drop box will also be available at the Provo City Center lobby and other locations for anyone wishing to hand deliver their completed mail-in ballot in the signed and sealed envelope.
Those who are uncertain about whether their registration status is current can check online at vote.utah.gov. If you have moved, you need to ensure your address is up to date. If you are not registered, you can get a registration form from the Utah County Clerk’s Office at 100 E Center Street or register online at vote.utah.gov by October 30th to vote in person on Election Day. If you have questions, you may contact the Utah County Election office at 801-851-8128 or the Provo City Election Officer at 801-852-6524.
On Election Day, a voter service center will be available at the Provo Recreation Center (320 W. 500 North) from 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. Those who do not receive a ballot in the mail or who lose it can visit the service center and cast a provisional ballot. (Bring a current ID or two items bearing their current address.) A drop box will also be available at the voter service center for anyone wishing to hand deliver their completed mail-in ballot in the signed and sealed envelope.
Voting is so important and I hope that each of you takes the time to do so.
