I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in United Way Day of Caring. It was an incredible day of community service, and I couldn’t be prouder of our Provo City team. Our city was well represented, with volunteers from nearly every department rolling up their sleeves to make a difference!
Thanks to the hard work of 61 dedicated volunteers, we were able to complete an ambitious painting project. Together, we painted the upstairs lobby, four large offices, two smaller offices, the downstairs lobby, and the training room at the Community Action Services and Food Bank. This effort not only gave the space a fresh, vibrant look but also showed the strength of our Provo community when we come together to serve.
A special shoutout to James Cornaby from our Parks and Recreation team, who made sure we had all the tools we needed to get the job done. From ladders and poles to brushes and rollers, James made sure we were well-equipped. And a big thank you to CJ Nuccitelli, Cody Shepherd, Caleb Hansen, and Dylan Courney for stepping up to return and clean the tools after the project was complete. Your behind-the-scenes work did not go unnoticed!
We’re also incredibly grateful to Habitat for Humanity of Utah County for providing the paint that made this project possible. Their generosity helped us create a welcoming space for a local organization that provides essential services to those in need.
The staff at Community Action Services and Food Bank expressed their gratitude throughout the day. They complimented our team’s efficiency, hard work, and great attitude, which speaks volumes about the spirit of service we hold dear in Provo.
To everyone involved—Great job! Days like today remind me why I love being the mayor of this incredible city. Together, we’re making Provo an even better place to live, work, and serve.
Thank you again for your commitment to our community. Let’s continue to build on this momentum and keep the spirit of service alive in Provo!
